8 days Alexandria And Siwa oasis

1. Day Settle in
Ahlan wa Sahlan – a heartfelt welcome in Alexandria!
Alexandria is the 2nd biggest city in Egypt which is also called Pearl of the Mediterranean. Alexandria has been founded by Alexander the Great 332 BC and the port flatters with Greek-Roman buildings and historic cafés.
We pick you up at the airport Burg al ‘Arab and accompany you to your hotel; check-in.
Make use of the time and settle in to refresh yourselfand enjoy the beautiful sandy beach at the Mediterranean Sea.
In the early evening we meet you at the lobby for a first excursion to the charmingmedina – the old town of Alexandria where we will have a tasty dinner together in a relaxed atmosphere.

2. Day Sun, fun and vitamin “Sea”
After breakfast you have the choice between time at your disposal or enjoying some more time at the beautiful sandy beach of the hotel.
In the early evening we meet at the lobby for a visit of the Qaitbay Citadel which has been built on the foundation of the legendary Pharos Lighthouse which had fallen into ruins after several earthquakes. Afterwards we enjoy a nice dinner in the city of Alexandria together which will conclude the evening.

3. Day More vitamin “Sea” and a bibliotheca which is much more than a library
Today you have once more time to spend at the beach enjoying the sun and have a swim in the Mediterranean Sea.
Later in the day we visit the new bibliotheca of Alexandria which is much more than a library whichis dedicated to recapture the spirit of openness and scholarship of the original Bibliotheca Alexandria. Later, we will have dinner together.

4. Day Alexandria – Siwa

After the checkout we make our way by car to Siwa, an oasis which is situated in the north of the western desert of Egypt. Our trip takes us roughly during a 5 hrs ride (we will have a 30-minute break) alongside the mediterranean coastline. Arrival in Siwa is planned for in the early evening.
After check-in at the hotel we will enjoy a dinner together before we are going to relax and spoil our bodies in a comfy warm bath in sulfuric waters – a treat not only for your skin!

5. Day Salt Cave and the white desert
After breakfast we will show you around the old town of Siwaincluding a visit to the biggest historic treasure of Siwa: the temple of Amun where Alexander the Great has received visions.
After the tour we will visit Cleopatras bath where we will indulge in the saline lakes.
Next stop is at the Salt Cave where we enjoy the benefits salt offers on the immune, nervous, and lymphatic systems also reducing stress, besides energetically cleaning your spirit and soul.
Later that afternoon we drive on into the great white desert where we will spend the night in individual tents. Above us the dreamlike starry sky surrounded by pure nature!

6. Day A Day in the desert
Did the first shafts of sunlight wake you up? After breakfast camels are awaiting you and will bring us from one wadi to the next one. Enjoy the soothing and vibrant calm of the desert following the caravan like you have for sure seen in historic films before – this time experience it! Let the impressive scenery enchant you.
Later in the evening we get back to the hotel in Siwa.

7. Day Hot Sand Bath
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and get prepared for another special day outside Siwa at a place of power to enjoy the famous hot sand baths which can bring relief if one is suffering from rheumatism and arthritis. It is a traditional treatment developed by the Berbers.

8. Day Siwa – Alexandria
Today after the check-out we head back from Siwa to Alexandria through the desert once more and we bring you directly to the airport.
We truly enjoyed the time with you as our guest. Sad to see you off, have a safe trip back home or enjoy yourholiday extension – goodbye!
